Solid Gold was a music countdown television series which aired from 1980 to 1988, usually on Saturday in the early evening time slot.

The main premise of Solid Gold consisted of the "Solid Gold Dancers" doing elaborate dances to the top ten hits of the week….While the stars of this exciting era fronted and performed their hit songs.
In respect to this show we have created a show, paying tribute to the best performing artists to have graced the music charts and silver screen of the Eighties.

The show is directed by, and stars some well known pioneers of the South African 80’s

MIKE TODD (of pop band – “Cinema” fame) and RONNIE JOYCE (Formerly known as “Little Ronnie”)

Our “Sold Gold Show” is a tribute to the golden age of pop. It’s a time of big hair, shoulder pads, neon and leather. When The King of Pop moon walked into stardom and a Material Girl transformed the dance floor.

It features our three Frontline Singers, Four Dancers and a Live Backing Band,
Who unashamedly embrace the glam image of this exciting era.

Fronted by Our Singer and Narrator Clayton Stewart and top frontline vocalist Lara Thomas.
