This fun-loving duo are Tulla and Ekkie Eckhart and they are a father daughter combo. Both Tulla and Ekkie have been performing and entertaining in their own rights for many years and then teamed up to form the Eck-centric's in 2007. Since then, they have had a regular Sunday gig at the Zoolake Bowling Club and have livened up a host of private functions including birthday's, wedding's and more recently,
a 40th wedding anniversary.
The Eck-centrics have a wide range of repertoire, they use funky backing tracks and also both play instruments. Ekkie is a multi instrumentalist who sings and plays saxophone, guitar, recorder and percussion. He is especially good at charming the ladies, playing burning guitar and sax solo's as well as rocking the dance floor with rock n' roll smash hits. He also has a huge range of easy listening jazz, country and modern music and can never resist a good party.
Tulla is the pop-queen! She rocks every dance tune, pulling out
numbers from the 60's right through to 2009. She can cool it down with mellow classic jazzy numbers, building it up with light rock and pop and then partying the night away, all the while keeping everyone on the dance floor. She also plays guitar and percussion and has Afrikaans, Zulu and Tswana song's in her repertoire.
If you need the energy of a huge event but only have a budget for a small party, the Eck-centric's are the band for you! |
