In the age of synthesised music, 'James Frank and the Sticky Triggers' takes up the flag in the revival of treasured music of the 1940's and 50's. This 14-piece, consisting of three vocalists and full brass and rhythm sections, has a successful corporate history of performances, their debut being at the Nederburg Wine Auction, 2006.
James Frank leads the Sticky Triggers on a pioneering musical journey. With virtually flawless execution and a dazzling repertoire of songs, their unique sound is an amalgamation of American big band swing, vibrant South African jazz from the Sophiatown era, Sensual Cuban Arrangements and both local and international Pop Hits.
Famously reworking golden oldies and modern hits, their up-tempo, swanky styleis guaranteed to get the audience on their feet and the dance floor cooking.
Besides working as a sole entity, providing entertainment with their own three lead vocalists, James Frank also commands a lot of work as a musical director and arranger, with his band backing many headline artists. A selection of those are:
