Background
Tima Reece is a twenty-three year old artist residing in JHB, who is a bright, witty and an extraordinarily talented young woman who has much to offer the world when it comes to her music. It is therefore not surprising that shortly after their introduction to this highly talented artist, the New York based company ‘Strictly Rhythm’ wasted no time in signing her up in the belief that she was blessed with the same unique talents as that of the late and great Aaliyah. She was flown to New York and immediately set about recording her first International album. ‘Strictly Rhythm’ were confident that she was destined to fill the vacuum created by the sad death of Aaliyah and were elated with the prospect and opportunity of grooming and launching this gifted Artist into the International Pop World, where justice could finally be done to her smoldering good looks and highly evolved vocal ability. Shortly after her return to South Africa her album was released with huge success earning her a SAMA Award nomination.
