In 1999 Jennifer won the KORA Award for “Most Promising Female Artist”. Her television appearances in the same year included the NNTV Awards live television performance of “High Heels and Hisses”, produced by The Baroness and Felicia Mabusa Suttle’s “Live Diva’s Show” that for the first time saw Jennifer performing with her mother, Marloe Scott Wilson. She was released from her contractual obligations from Sony in 1999.
Jennifer appeared at the International World Aids Day “Love Life” and performed “The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be”. This performance landed her on the front page of the New York Times She appeared in the Miss SA 2000 and then left South Africa for Cairo for a 2 month contract at the Sheraton Hotel .to return in February 2001
In the short time back she appeared as the support act for Dionne Warwick at Carnival City under the name of “Diva Namix” featuring Vicky Sampson, Carol Leigh and Jennifer Jones. Jennifer Jones left for Morocco in March appearing at the Sheraton Hotel untill August.
Her corporate work credits are endless. She has performed and worked with all major production houses, choreographers and corporate companies in South Africa. Since her return she has appeared at numerous corporate engagements across South Africa including performances for the National Olympic Committee, South African Airways, Siemens SA, BMW, ACSA to mention but a few.
Jennifer has been selected as the celebrity judge on the reality music television show ZING on Kyk-net in March 2003 and she will be making a special appearance at Nelson Mandela’s Birthday party in July 2003.
Jennifer has been asked to perform at the Inauguration of South Africa’s New President on 27 April 2004. |
