Soccer 2010



"Football Show"
This show will be in segments and each could be placed at an appointed time in the evening, on different stages around the venue.

Starring four different/featured acts.

ACT 1: “The Catalyst”

Will be a group of two freestyle footballers showing off there amazing tricks. South Africa has the fifth best freestyle footballer in the world CHRIS NJOKWANA 

This amazing footballer was placed fifth in the world at the world championships held in Brazil in 2008.

You will be amazed at the skill and pure agility of CHRIS and his gifted friend Nzu Madela (winner of the more resent Red Bull competition) as they mesmerize you with there powerful ball routines.

ACT 2: “The Stars”                                                                

We would feature four singers on stage backed by a live band. The band will burst onto the stage through a haze of smoke and pyrotechnic explosions and perform Ricky Martins “CUP OF LIFE” from the 2006 world cup finals. To a chorus of “Here we go ole, ole, ole” they will have the whole audience singing along to get the party going at the same time performing a few well known football anthems Shosholoza, We are the Champions, The Warrior ext….plus backing the running of the various segments ( see later in the proposal ).

ACT 3: “The rhythm”

The third segment will feature African Drummers – 6 drummers
Enter the stage – dressed in the traditional African outfits.

In addition they would also back the singers at various times and star in a gumboot dance routine -dressed in full football supporters head gear and dress.

At the same time they
Would make an entrance blowing the familiar Vuvuzela’s synonymous with South African soccer.

 


 

                                           

ACT 4: “The style”

We are fortunate enough to have the services of eight amazing frontline dancers – who would be the perfect backdrop to this exciting theme, Backing the singers, performing a thrilling fire act and a well choreographed soccer ball act.

SYNOPSIS

OPENING SECTION

SONG: “CUP OF LIFE”
Our African Drummers would be dotted around the stage, as the singers perform this Football anthem. With the dancers backing and the band stamping their authority.

SECTION 1

SONG: “AFRICAN DREAM”
              Our dancers enter holding South African Flags. The A.V. screens
               show proudly South African visuals as the singers are again
               introduced.
SONG: “PATA PATA”
              Ntumi performs this classic with the Miners backing her.
SONG: “BURNOUT”
             This most loved classic performed by Ronnie and Clayton
SING: “MEADOWLANDS”
           We end the set with a bang as the full cast is on awash with colour.

SECTION 2

SONG: “THE WARRIOR”
             Drummers move all around the stage, dancers holding fire sticks
             and go into the audience… getting the vibe going.
SONG: “UDAKWA NJALO”
            Most of the audience would stand for this one - as the Mafikizola
            beat can’t be helped.
SONG: “JABULANI”
SONG: “DANCE SUM MORE”

SECTION 3

SONG: “SPECIAL STAR”
            One dancer in a single pin spot mimes a penny whistle and then the
            full cast enter.
SONG: “OSIYEZA”
            Clayton is backed by the drummers in this one.
SONG: “UMQOMBOTI”
             All the girls sing this song as tribute to an African party
SONG: “LADY SOUL”
             We get everyone clapping and singing along to this hit from DJ Jazzy D.

SECTION 4

SONG: “WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS”
             Dedicated to all the teams competing and dedicated to all the guests
SONG: “GIVE ME HOPE JOANNA”

FINISH

SONG:”NKALAGATA”
            We go straight into this Mandoza classic and finish with a bang.

If the guests are up and partying we would perform a couple of big dance hits to keep them there.
