It has been often said that it is not where you come from, but rather where you are going that matters. A living testimony to that statement is Stephina Zwane. A woman passionate about speaking and making an impact; Zwane is a force to be reckoned with in the field of inspirational speaking. Having grown up in what she terms the ‘dirty streets of jo’burg’, she started making a name for herself at the tender age of 15 when she became a children’s TV Presenter for Craz-e on e-TV.

Zwane then later went on to cement her career in the media industry as an actress when she landed roles on some of South Africa’s popular soapies and dramas such as Backstage (e-TV), Isidingo (SABC 3) , Scandal (e-TV) and Gaz’lam 2 (SABC 1). She diversified her skills when she decided to work behind the scenes as a Head Researcher for a multi-religious programme on SABC 1, as well as a TV Producer and Newsreader on business channel, Summit TV.

After gaining experience in the world of TV, she moved onto be a Radio Station Manager for one of the leading retail stores in the country. Her career spans from TV host , to Journalism lecturer to columnist for weekly women’s magazine Move, where she shared her inspirational messages in a column titled, Spiritual Corner. Her gift of communication has enabled her to also give inspirational talks around the country in various churches such as Rhema Bible Church, schools and corporates. In 2009 and 2010 she was the main guest speaker at Cell C’s Take a Girl Child to Work Day.

With a 12-year career in the media industry, this amazing woman is now a Director of a successful PR and Media Relations Agency and the future looks even brighter. She is the youngest member who sits on the Advisory Council Board at Vega School of Brand Communications in Johannesburg. As one of the few female Speakers in South Africa, her passion for people has kept her going. Having come from a humble background she gives all the praise to God for the journey she’s had.

Zwane is passionate about changing people’s negative perception of themselves, making people realize that they are ‘powerful beyond measure’ and inspiring people to walk in their purpose and be great if only they would believe that it’s possible.
