Pepsi Pokane’s background is primarily in television and media. After studying for a degree in International Business, he broke the mould and went into television presenting.
He has worked as a pro-active presenter and actor; writing scripts, producing inserts and contributing to the creative direction of shows like The Toasty Show, Standard Bank Joy of Jazz, CineMagic, Mamepe and the popular SABC1 drama, Gazlam.
Most recently, Pepsi hosted and executive produced the adult contemporary music show; Afro Café, which was broadcast on SABC2.
In addition to his on-screen work, Pepsi is a prolifically busy Event M.C. lending his talents to beauty pageants, corporate shows and music concerts.
He was recently voted as Cosmopolitan’s Sexiest South African Man for 2006, as well as one of 5 Seventeen Magazine Hotties for 2006.
He has a brand endorsement deal with health food supplement Cellfood, which has recognised him as a serious force to be dealt with in South Africa’s media and entertainment industry, both as a personality and a media owner.
