With over 15 years experience in the media, Michelle McLean has become a well known Southern African television personality and celebrity.
She first stunned the world when she won the Ms. Universe Pageant in 1992 at the age of 19 years. Her experience as Ms. Universe provided a valuable platform for her career in Television, Modeling and for her many philanthropic endeavors.
Michelle McLean has presented numerous TV shows, most recently being the Revlon Supermodels search in 2007. She has been the face and voice for many TV and radio endorsements, previously the face for Lux Lotion and the official voice of MTN for the past four years. She has also managed a demanding Master of Ceremonies schedule for many of Southern Africa’s top corporations.
Close to her heart is the Michelle McLean Children Trust, which she established in 1992. The Trust built a primary school in her name and provides education for 900 children. In addition they established the Michelle McLean School of Excellence, which provides entrepreneurial and financial skills training to learners. The Trust has initiated and managed hundreds of projects in its time and presently runs ten projects for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.
Over the years Michelle has shown entrepreneurial flair in business. Previously a Director at the Engel & Volkers Property Group, and Co-founder and Director of Donna Terra Fine Jewelry in South Africa she is now a partner in a consultancy company for Trade and Investment into Africa. |
