Michelle Botes was born in Cape Town and trained at UCT. Her career spans more than twenty years; consistently working in TV ; Film and onstage. She has starred in many TV- series’ ; and favourites include “Arende”  “Konings” ; and “Onder draai die duiwel rond”. She played the female lead in “American Ninja II”,  and stage productions include “Hellhound” and “Palang van Dwaal”- both awarding  her theatre nominations as best actress. She has received many awards for her work; including the 2004 Elle  Style award for most stylish actress in a soap; plus the overall “Elle Style Award “.Other awards include the Crystal award for best actress; twice; and  Duku Duku awards for four years in a row; including best actress; and in 2005 for best screen villain.  She has just finished playing superbitch Cherel de Villiers in Isidingo; and can soon be seen as attorney Ingrid Jordaan in M-Net’s “Binnelanders”
