In the year 2007 Graeme graduated with a BA: Theatre and Performers, from UCT. This fresh young Talent, Hot off the Hit television program, Idols, has recently relocated to Johannesburg and Ready to wow all audiences.
Throughout his time at UCT, Graeme was cast in performances such as: Othello, Macbeth, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, Hamlet and Mirror Mirror.
In 2008, Graeme received a nomination for the 2008 Fleur De Caps under the category of
“Most Promising Student”.
Once Graduated, Graeme began working as a host, MC and Performer at many corporate and private events in and around Cape Town. Some highlights include Women in Wine Awards 2006, Michelangelo International Wine awards 2006, Steenberg classic 2007 and 2008, and a Private commissioned performance for The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia in 2008.
Graeme has also become favorable amongst the South African commercial industry, boasting commercials such as KFC, Bulmer’s Cider and Panasonic.
In 2009, Graeme entered the fifth installment of much loved South African Reality show Mnet Idols, Coming in at 3rd place of what was deemed the most controversial season yet. Graeme exited Idols on stellar performances, much favor from the judges and the public’s hearts. He has emerged from the competition in high demand and within the first month securing him high profile events such as performing at the Mpumalanga Fashion week, The Vodacom Durban July and the Bells Night of a Hundred Stars..
Throughout his career as an entertainer, with vast experience and knowledge of the professional entertainment industry, Graeme has acquired a large repertoire ranging from the classic hits of the Rat pack/ Sinatra, the swinging sixties, all the way to modern day super hits. Whatever your event requires, Graeme has the adaptability to perform any Genre, the ability he showed with ease on the Idols stage. Graeme won many supporters hearts by speaking openly about his struggles overcoming ADHD and dyslexia, which has allowed him to motivate both young and old in exposing ways to deal with such obstacles both in the schooling phase, tertiary education and professional working environment. His warm and endearing personality is a must as an MC at your corporate or private event. |
