Elana Afrika, new voice on KFM 94.5 in Cape Town, has gone live online with Handheld, EA style interactive reports from events, experiences and music happenings. Handheld is Elana’s alternative to blogging, fast paced, vibey and intentionally shot on handheld devices to make it real.

Elana is one of South Africa’s best known and most high profile screen and radio personalities, known for her lively antics and sense of fun. She’s a “must have” at most events, style parties and media days.

She holds a degree in drama and performing arts from Stellenbosch University and launched into her long running and successful screen and radio career at 20, as presenter for Kyknet, M-Net Africa, Topcar on Supersport, and a young adult show called Jip on Kyknet. She was also host of a popular early-morning radio show on Jacaranda 94.2 before joining 5fm. She has also presented roving sports reporting, especially during the world cup, and produced shows for Kwela and MNet’s “I Wanna Be”.

Aside from her television and radio work, Elana has built a successful behind the scenes career as producer of a variety of innovative mobile-oriented shows on M-Net’s youth channel VUZU and has her own creative agency, EA Works, specializing in developing creative marketing solutions and events across a variety of platforms to maximize brand exposure.

Elana is zany, vibrant, a little over the top but totally unique. She has a huge fan base and is in high demand on the corporate circuit as a vivacious and bubbly MC and speaker.
