WHO IS AYA?

Singer, actress and television presenter.

Aya burst into the South African Market with a world class performance on Idols in 2005. That earned her a top6 place and a recording contract with Sony Music SA.

Her debut album “A state of Aya” was released in 2007 and Aya became a household name in the music circles. Her singles, “Ngiyak'dabukela” and “As a Woman” made her the darling of SA jazz and adult contemporary music lovers.

Soon Aya was gracing stages performing a Jazz concerts and corporate events alike. Her success saw no red light as in 2008, she hit TV screens presenting Soul Sundays on SABC1, followed by a role in daily SABC2 soapie Muvhango in 2009/10

Beautiful, Sexy, Young, Confident and recently loving mother is best to describe this talented entertainer.

Aya holds a degree in Music and Drama obtained from University of Kwazulu Natal.

She is an excellent public speaker, a talented actress, an entertainer and a role model in every way.

Aya recently became a proud mother of a baby boy named Amandlesiwe.

Her single “As a woman” actively addresses issues pertinent to women. The song was written by Aya while she was studying, and became a hit on her debut album, clearly signalling how well she connects with her listeners through a strong value system.   

THE FUTURE

As an established entertainer, Aya is now focused on leading in her chosen field.

Aya is currently working on her second album. The album will feature some of South Africa's leading writers and producers such as RJ Benjamin, Mnqobi Mdabe (Shana) and Beatmaker.

 The album will also have guest appearances by some of SA's musicians. The album sound is adult contemporary, Jazzy, sexy and new age. Aya is already performing the first 5 singles from her upcoming album

Aya will also maintain major television presence with a unique talk show and some high value acting roles. Aya is the new host of SABC2's TalkSA
