African Sunrise was formed ten years ago.

The Band’s music ranges from township Jazz, African Music to the Beatles, Elton John, music from shows and Glen Miller Big Band numbers. They also played at flea markets bistros and private and corporate functions.

The Band have gone from strength to strength and now perform regularly at corporate function, cocktails parties, weddings, shopping centre and shebeen theme evenings. They did a very successful tour for radio Metro around the country. One of the highlights of their career playing in the V.I.P marquee at the Union Buildings during the Inauguration of President Mandela, to kings, queens and heads of State.

They come with all their equipment and transport. They returned from a very successful two week show at the Royal Hotel in Luxembourg and when Pavarotti was in South Africa, Johan Rupert flew the Band down to Stellenbosch to entertain his guests before and after the concert.

The Band is suitable for cocktail and listening music as well as for dancing and parties.
