In July 2009, Mpho entered a local television show entitled, “SO YOU THINK YOU’RE FUNNY”. Out of the 28 hopefuls that made it through, Mpho made it all the way to the finals and took second place. A great achievement for him considering that this was the first time he had ever done stand up comedy. This was to be a sign of great things and has shown the great potential of a great upcoming comic, destined to do well on the South African Comedy Circuit.

Mpho has subsequently filled various roles as a comedic performer, open spots, headlining, MC duties, given motivational talks, presented awards at schools and has even taught children about comedy and the industry.

Mpho was also involved in the Castle Milk Stout Advert, done various voice overs. He has also starred in a new local production called, “Hawkers Dream” where he played a character called Twin Plug and is currently involved in filming a show called “Black-Ass”.
