Balekane Moloisane is a professional violinist of no small statue based in Johannesburg. She started playing the violin at the age of 9 and hasn’t looked back since. She progressed rapidly to play for National Youth Orchestra at age 13, and subsequently that year became leader of Johannesburg Youth Ensemble.
She was invited in Germany in the years 1998 and 1999 to play with the Landesjugend Orchestra -RheinlandPfalz during summer camps.Balekane attended at the National School of the Arts where her speciality was music. She currently plays with professional orchestras such as the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra and the Johannesburg Music Initiative.
Although classically trained, she can incorporate and perform a range of repertoire ranging from quiet dinner backgrounds to powerful get-up-and-dance cover music.
She has shared the stage with the following internationally acclaimed artists:
