A Night at the Oscars

The show will feature Clayton Stewart a singer and performer who has played the lead role in shows like “Buddy Holly” and “Grease”, as well as winning an FNB VITA Award for best South African performer. He most recently performed with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra and the Drakensburg Boys Choir at the “Starlight Classics” event at “Vergelegen” wine farm).

And the sultry “Candice Lee” star of many local productions, you have probably seen her at your local Theater.

They would be backed by two live performers: Mike Todd (Keys and Guitar) and Marc Wilson (Drums and Percussion).

CRAIG URBANI
Craig’s career started in the South African in the Rocky Horror Show, The T.V. series Tropical Heat and a film role opposite Robert Mitchum In “Woman of Desire” before landing the role of Buddy in the South African production of Buddy Holly. This resulted in him being
chosen to play this title role on the West End – he consequently moved to England where he played amongst others : Danny Zuko – Grease, The Fonz – Happy Days, Nick Piazza – Fame, Fred – Kiss Me Kate, Trevor Graydon – Thoroughly Modern Millie…to name a Few.
He performed with Cliff Richard at the London Palladium, Paul Mc Cartney in Buddy Holly Week, and took part in two “Royal Variety” performances for Her Majesty the Queen.
Since moving back home he has starred in various T.V. ads, embraced the corporate market and was seen in the S.A.B.C.Production of Shado’s. He played the leading male role in the Civics, “Thoroughly Modern Millie” and “Chicago” and now plays the role of Alec in Isidingo…..it’s good to
be home.

For example Craig could come out as John Travolta (complete in white suite) and perform Staying Alive. Or Clayton could come out as James Bond and perform Live and Let Die. Candice could wear her Feathers and Lace and perform Moulin Rouge’s “Lady Marmalade”. They could all do the finale’ as the cast of Grease - singing “Greased Lightning”.

The show could be collage of all the famous musicals to have graced our screens.
